I read a few of the explainations and they should help some one just starting out rather nicely.I do like the starting armor (as soon as you appear in the world) being class related -and- already on the character.I like the hawk/mouse idea. one over in the "combat training" area don't work yet, but I am sure that's known and will come later). on the other side from where Rijacki resides *chuckle* I didn't get very far, I finished the Coercer's quest but then needed that sleep thing.Good: I think it's grand that the "tutorial" information is all in dialogue choices from various people. I wanted to see things in a little contrast to how they were when I -first- started the game (day of release) with the same character class, but. I created an evil-clone Rijacki to give things a try. I should have tried it further out again to see if there was a difference with the quest in the right place. When I confronted her the 2nd time (at the right time), I ran on to her toes again. When I didn't get a quest dink, I read what I was suppose to do, blushed, and went to look in the places I was suppose to.
I then ran and stood directly on her toes while she was agro (reset) and blasted her. I was in range of her agro, and she started to rush for me and then reset). I tried a bit closer and still, when she would move toward me, the encounter would break, even if she initiated the agro (i.e. When I, as a caster, stood a little bit off to the side and attacked her, as soon as she moved toward me, the encounter broke. I found her after getting the quest to find her before going to all the places. I'd done this quest over and over (and over.to see how far away I could get and still see her) and was always able to kill her without the encounter breaking. How far away from her were you when you started attacking her? Were you using spells or melee attacks? she immediately twitches a bit and breaks encounter when attacked, no space at all for a second attack. Laena, for the "In the Name of Honor" quest is currently unkillable. Who envisions a Guardian wielding a hatchet? And a 2-handed hatchet at that! It isn't even a Berserker-type Executioner's Axe or something, just a medium-sized axe I hold on my hip.

Thirdly, I finish my Class quest series on the island and I get some generic Warrior 2-handed axe (Freeport Warrior's Axe). Why give a skill and an item that a newbie cannot realistically use? This goes together with the whole "Shield Bash at level 2" thing. Secondly, I find it odd that the Overseer in the treehouse reliably (2 out of 2 for me) drops a shield when I cannot find a 1-handed weapon on this island.
I'm not sure what to replace Intervene with. Hold the Line and Intervene should be moved out of the level 1-6 line-up, maybe switch area taunt with Hold the Line. I think Kick would work better at level 3, and you could move Shield Bash to level 6 where at least by that time the player might have gotten the Shield that the Overseer drops.
I suggest tweaking with the fighter CAs to make them more sensible for a newbie. Hold the Line is also not very useful to a true newbie, who will almost certainly not be grouping and probably wouldn't even understand the spell description ditto for Intervene. Shield Bash is useless for a newbie, because you start out with a 2-handed weapon and there are no easily obtained 1-handed weapons that I could find on the island. At level 2 you get Shield Bash, at level 3 you get Hold the Line, and at level 6 you get Intervene. Levels 1 and 3 you get Swing and Taunt respectively and at level 4 you get your stances, these seem reasonable. I remade a lowbie guardian of mine and tried him out to see what the new island is like.įirstly are his combat arts. I'll put this feedback here because Outpost of the Overlord was where I just played.
